Open science community meeting
Wellcome Theatre, Royal Society
6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG
Tuesday 8th July 2008
10.30am - 12.30pm (10am registration)
Following the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) recent consultation exercise on the Programmatic Review we are pleased to announce that we will be holding an open science community meeting at the Royal Society in London at 10.30am on 8th July 2008 to announce the outcome.
The meeting will give me and members of our senior team the opportunity to present and discuss with you the Council’s decisions and the process by which these were reached. Importantly, it will allow you the chance to pose any questions you might have.
The Council’s decisions will be based upon the ten specialist consultation panel reports and PPAN (Particle Physics, Astronomy & Nuclear Physics Science Committee) and PALS (Physical & Life Sciences Committee) responses to these which we published last week. If you haven’t yet had a chance to read through these please visit our webpage where you can find them in full.
If you’d like to join us please RSVP to Linda Miles
Tel: + 44 (0)1235 445627.
We look forward to seeing you at the Royal Society on 8th July.

Map of Royal Society
The Royal Society is located in Carlton House Terrace, just off Waterloo Place, between Pall Mall and The Mall. It is less than five minutes walk to Piccadilly Circus underground station and ten minutes to Charing Cross mainline and underground stations, or 20 minutes through St James’s Park to Victoria. Trafalgar Square and all bus services through it are also very close.
Please note that there is very limited parking near to the Royal Society – there are several parking bays opposite which are paid for by meter. Parking there is only for two hours.
